It was an honor at the award ceremony for U.S. Army veterans Albert Donaghy, U.S. Army and George Cook, U.S. Marine Corps., who were all recognized with the Ambassador for Peace Medal by the government of South Korea. The families of deceased Navy veterans George Bezanson and Neil Morgan were there as well to receive their medals posthumously. While the Korean War is often referred to as the “Forgotten War”, it is so important to thank those who served and assure them and their families that their service will never be forgotten and always honored.
