Mark Sternman – Chief of Staff

As Chief of Staff, Mark Sternman manages the operations of Senator Keenan’s office, in addition to working on policy, communications, and the budget. He has also worked for two other state Senators and two Members of Congress. Mark has an A.B. from Dartmouth College and an M.I.A. from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.


Emerson Gagnon – Legislative Director

As Legislative Director, Emerson Gagnon leads the development of policy positions and oversees all legislative initiatives on behalf of the Senator. He previously worked as an Aide in the Massachusetts House of Representatives for several years. He graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.


Doreen Bargoot – Constituent Services & District Director

As a longtime resident of the Wollaston area of Quincy, Doreen Bargoot brings a wealth of local experiences and knowledge to her role as Constituent Services & District Director.  Providing immediate, empathetic assistance to constituents is a hallmark of Doreen’s commitment to resolving issues.  Her knowledge of and connection to the people, places and pulse of the Norfolk & Plymouth District positions Doreen with unmatched care and concern for neighbor.


Peter Jasinski – Communications Director

In his role as Communications Director, Peter Jasinski is responsible for Senator Keenan’s online presence across social media and the office’s website, as well as handling relationships with members of the press. He previously worked as a print and online journalist for several Massachusetts-based news outlets. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University.  

Aidan Murphy – Legislative Aide

As Senator Keenan’s legislative aide, Aidan Murphy is primarily focused on assisting with constituent services, maintaining the Senator’s schedule, and assisting with legislative efforts. Aidan joined Senator Keenan’s office as legislative aide after having worked as an intern in Summer 2023. He graduated in 2023 from UMass Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
