3.15.16 Sen. Keenan and Joe Truschelli of the Dept. of Veterans’ Services were honored to present to 97 year old Peter “Uncle Pete” Stonis of Rockland the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. They were presented nearly 74 years after Peter earned them for his service at Guadalcanal in the Pacific during WWII.
