BOSTON – Quincy Community Action Programs and Self Help, Inc were both recently named as recipients of funds through the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education’s Coordinated Family and Community Engagement grant, which funds different family-focused support programs across the state.
According to DESE, the grant is intended to provide families with access to locally available comprehensive services and supports that strengthen families, promote optimal child development and bolster school readiness.
QCAP has received $272,565 through the program, while Self Help, Inc has received $617,995. QCAP’s coverage area primarily covers the communities of Quincy and Braintree. Self Help, Inc offers services in over 20 Massachusetts communities, including Abington, Holbrook, and Rockland.
