BOSTON – Ongoing water infrastructure projects for the water systems of Abington-Rockland, Braintree, Holbrook, and Quincy are among the projects eligible for financing through the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s Intended Use Plan, which will be discussed at a public hearing on May 26.
Since 1989, this program has issued over $8.1 billion in loans for projects in nearly 300 communities, utilizing below market interest rates that are fixed by statute. The program offers construction financing at a 0% interest rate and with no fees unlike
bond anticipation notes.
The hearing on this year’s Intended Use Plan projects will be held virtually on May 26 at 10:30 a.m. The hearing can be accessed via Microsoft Teams here.
