There will be no pedestrian access across the new Quincy Bus Maintenance Facility site during the weekend of April 9-10 from Columbia Street to Thomas Burgin Parkway. This is to ensure pedestrian safety during the scheduled demolition activities of the former Lowe’s building located at 599 Thomas Burgin Parkway.

Pedestrians are advised to use Centre Street for access to Thomas Burgin Parkway and the MBTA Quincy Adams Station (see map). Additionally, MBTA Bus Route 238 to Quincy Adams Station stops at the corner of Centre Street and Liberty.

As a reminder there is no pedestrian access allowed on the construction roadway behind the former Lowe’s building.

Pedestrian access through a designated secured path from Columbia Street to Thomas Burgin Parkway will be restored for Monday morning April 11.
