BOSTON – Public employees working in the towns of Braintree, Holbrook, and Rockland are among the beneficiaries of an Executive Office of Technology Services and Security program to pay for cyber security training.

Over 57,000 employees from 210 municipalities and public school districts across the Commonwealth will be given critical cybersecurity training through the 2022 Municipal Cybersecurity Awareness Grant Program to better detect and avoid cyber threats.

“I am thrilled at the response to this year’s grant program, with executives from across the Commonwealth’s cities and towns stepping up and making cybersecurity a priority,” said Massachusetts Secretary of Technology Services and Security Curt Wood.

Local beneficiaries include:

  • Braintree Public Schools – 2 employees
  • Town of Holbrook – 155 employees
  • Town of Rockland – 100 employees
